Studio Guidelines

 

Atlas Art Press Studio Terms

By enrolling in an Atlas Art Press class, workshop, or camp held at 75 Shenot Road, Wexford, PA 15090, you agree to the terms below:

Updates to policy regarding Covid-19. 

  • Classes will be running with modified format that adheres to all CDC Recommended Guidelines

  • Studio will use Curbside Drop-Off/Pick-Up for students

  • Students are not be permitted to come to class with a temperature over 100F or with visible signs of illness

  • Social distancing will be followed with students spread out across tables

  • ALL students are required to wash hands upon entering home. 

  • Each student will be using an individualized set of supplies, stored in a bin during the week and only accessed by the students.

  • Each student will receive an apron at the first class to be used throughout the session and kept in their bin. At conclusion of the session, students will return their apron for cleaning.

  • Sarah Nelsen / Atlas Art Press will continue rigorous cleaning and sanitizing practices before and after students arrive and depart. 

  • Registration

    • ALL students must be accompanied by a guardian at the first class for initial check-in.  We will check-in students to review pick-up policies and any medical concerns.  

  • Class Drop Off/ Pick-Up

    • Parents must use carpool line for both drop off and pick up.  Students may be dropped off no more than 10 minutes prior to the start of their class.  Students not picked up within 15 minutes of the end of class will be charged $10 for each 15 minutes. 

  • Medical Information

    • Sarah Nelsen / Atlas Art Press MUST be made aware of all allergies and pertinent medical concerns regarding students for their safety.  This information will be kept confidential and only shared with necessary employees. 

  • Payment

    • Payment is required in full at the time of enrollment in order to secure a spot in the class.  Registration must occur prior to the start of the class. If classes are cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, each student shall be notified approximately 24 hours prior to the scheduled start of the class. A full refund will be issued in the same manner in which payment was made. All attempts will be made to move the student to a new class, if desired.

  • Withdrawal/Cancellation

    • Withdrawals, transfers, and cancellations following registration will incur a $25 administrative fee regardless of the circumstance related to the withdrawal, transfer, or cancellation: other charges may apply depending on when the withdrawal occurs. If the withdrawal/transfer takes place two or more weeks prior to the beginning of the class, a full refund will be issued, minus the $25 administrative fee. A partial refund will be offered for a withdrawal when more than one week’s notice is offered. If less than one week’s notice is offered, no refund will given unless the student’s position can be filled from the waiting list; in that case, a full refund will be offered, minus the $25 administrative fee. Waiting lists will be maintained for full classes. Waitlisted students will be notified by phone or email when space becomes available. Students will have 24 hours to respond to notification of addition from the waitlist by phone, email or in person. Payment must be made in full at the time of response or the student will forfeit their spot in the class. Special or extenuating circumstances regarding withdrawals, transfers and waiting lists will be considered at the sole discretion of the owners.​

  • Behavior

    • The studio reserves the right to expel any student from class for exhibiting behavior that may cause harm to him/herself, other campers/students, or staff. Students expelled will not be permitted to return, nor will they receive a refund. Such behaviors include, but are not limited to, hitting, kicking, biting, sexual harassment, and/or possessing weapons or illegal substances. In the event of a minor student, a parent or guardian will be contacted to pick up the student immediately if any such behavior occurs.

  • Late Pick Up

    • The studio expects each minor student to be picked up within 15 minutes of the scheduled end of each class. Following this time period, Sarah Nelsen / Atlas Art Press reserves the right to charge a fee of $10 per child, for each 15 minute period during which the student is not picked up.

  • Limitation of Liability

    • NEITHER ATLAS ART PRESS, ITS TEACHERS, SUPPLIERS, PRESENTERS OR OTHER ASSOCIATES, SHALL BE LIABLE TO YOU, YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN, OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY LOSS, COST, DAMAGE OR OTHER INJURY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ENROLLMENT IN DOTS AND DOODLES. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL THE SCHOOL BE LIABLE TO YOU, YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL OR SIMILAR DAMAGES OR COSTS.

  • Changes to Terms

    • This Agreement may be updated by Sarah Nelsen / Atlas Art Press from time to time, and may be amended to incorporate additional terms. All such updates and changes are effective immediately upon notice thereof, which we may give by any means, including, but not limited to, posting a revised version of this Agreement or other notice on Atlas Art Press premises. We expressly reserve the right to make any changes to this Agreement at any time without prior notice to you.

  • Photo Release

    • ​By agreeing to the Class Policies you grant permission to Atlas Art Press to use photographs and/or video of your child taken in class at Atlas Art Press in publications, news releases, online, and in other communications related to the mission of Atlas Art Press.
